Who am I

A father of two beautiful children, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, a committed family man and a friend.

I Was:

A BA (Hons) Architecture graduate training to become an architect, but fate played its part and following a life changing event I chose a new path. I realised I wanted to help others and followed my heart in working for the best police service in the world.
I was a hardworking, motivated, honest ex-T/Detective Inspector with 16 years of service in the UK police, investigating some of the most serious and complex crimes. In my career I attended and supervised some of the most challenging of scenes and investigations. I worked on Local Policing Teams, pro-active teams, CID, Domestic abuse, investigated Organised Crime Groups, deployed on Covert Operations, worked on Counter Terrorism investigations, Adult sexual offences, child abuse and safeguarded the most vulnerable in our society.

I have no regrets in the path I chose.

So, you may ask WHY I chose to leave the police? In October 2020 I sat in my living room, my body filled with fear, panic, anxiety. I had heart palpitations, my breathing was shallow and quick. I felt nauseous, my hands were clammy, I felt fatigued, scared, alone. I was frozen, thinking,

“What is wrong with me”?

I did not know what was happening to me, and not knowing made the FEAR palpable. Two months later I found out I had had a nervous breakdown.

My coping mechanisms:

Whilst this may not work for everyone, to cope with my breakdown I started a journal that I write in every day and with the help of therapy and support from my loved ones I began to slowly recover. I was later diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from a child abuse investigation years prior.

The Future:

Lifeline Coaching and Mentoring. The values of my company are founded on the foundations of my most challenging times; however, I chose to embrace them and grow as a person; developing my own business, drawing upon my experiences over a long career as a police officer, overcoming a breakdown and living with a mental illness.

I’m proud to be working with
