As a business, we were aware of the importance of safeguarding and risk but the practicalities of embedding a sound safeguarding framework including creating policies, guidance and educating staff, was beyond our expertise. From our perspective you can only truly understand the practical implementation of safeguarding through experience and this is where Darren is best in class. His experience in safeguarding and managing risk means that he fully understands how to analyse the needs of the business and creating a solid process tailored to us.
Lifeline has been an incredible addition to our offering here at a David Lloyd Southend, one that we are very proud of. Providing men a relaxed and safe space to openly speak about their mental well being and providing them with an opportunity to be part of a community and to normalise speaking about their emotions. We look forward to watching this community grow.

I was feeling stuck.
For 3 years I bounced from job to job.
We completed a mission statement (earn more money, have mental stimulation, utilising my skills and prevent Borden at all cost).
We looked at potential options to help me move forward. Some decisions were tough. One included me resigning from employment to allow more time to achieve my ambitions.
Fast forward 8 weeks, I have just secured a great job that ticks all of my mission statement intentions.
